Do I need a passport to get a plane from tijuana to guadalajara?

I want to get a air plane from tijuana to guadalajara and i want to know if i need a passport to get the plane. Do i need it to get back to USA on car? Thank you for your help.|||Passports will not be needed for LAND travel to and from mexico until June 1, 2009. You need a photo I.D. and birth certificate til then. see site below. you do NOT need a passport to fly internally in Mexico.|||I have taken this flight before. Technically no you do not need a passport for the plane. A US drivers license will be sufficinet. However when you get back a mexican official will ask what citizenship u are claiming. In this regard u technically need a tourist permission document (takes about 10 mins to fill out and will cost u about $20) from the Mexican goverment which can be obtained from the offices right after you cross into mexico at the San Ysidro border crossing in san diego, ca.

I would highly recommend that you bring your passort seeing that the new US border policy requires a CURRENT passport or US birth certificate accompanied with ID to reenter the US. I would bring it with you.

You can cross back into the US on foot at any border crossing.|||No passport needed from Tijuana to Guadalajara. I did not have to show mine from Tijuana to Mexico D.F., however, you will need a passport to get back to the U.S. I understand they are still accepting birth certificates with identification cards, but that will stop in July 2009.|||Hi!

You don't need a passport. But is very convenient to keep it close to you in case you need an ID.

Have a good flight!|||yeah
