What is , the magnitude of the component of the force of gravity along the inclined plane?

A block of weight = 25.0 sits on a frictionless inclined plane, which makes an angle = 22.0 with respect to the horizontal, as shown in the figure. A force of magnitude = 9.37 , applied parallel to the incline, is just sufficient to pull the block up the plane at constant speed.|||U must learn the importance of UNITS in physics.|||It takes a force of 9.37 pounds, ounces, Newtons, dynes, or poundals to pull the block up the plane at constant speed.





Since there is no acceleration, the net force acting on the block is zero. There is no friction, so the applied force is equal and opposite the magnitude of the component of the force of gravity along the inclined plane.





So the magnitude of the component of the force of gravity along the inclined plane is 9.37 of whatever unit the applied force is measured in.
