How do you call the person who helps to park a plane?

I need to know what is the name of the job of the persona who helps park a plane. He or she stand in front of it, with flags or light sticks and signals the pilots left or right and stop. Thank you.|||The person who brings the plane in is called the Marshaller, because he/she marshalls the plane into the gate. This job is usually done by a Ramp Agent or Mechanic using day ot night wands. There should also be two wingwalkers, one at each wingtip if it is a commercial flight. In countries other than the US, they are sometimes called flagmen or signalmen.

The most common place for the marshaller to stand is directly in front of the plane as it enters the gate. This is so that the marshaller can line the nosegear up with the lead-in line and so that both the pilot and co-pilot can see him.

Some airports are now equipped with signal lighting systems that pilots use instead of marshallers. They are manually controlled by a person on the ground and look very similar to a traffic signal, red and green.|||They go by different names depending; Marshalls, linemen, line crew, ground handler|||well, if you are going to an FBO, that FBO should have a Unicom frequency. Call'm up on that freq, and say that you'd like that. Say that you'd like a lineman to direct you to where you should park|||parking attendant|||by phone|||The signalman can stand anywhere in view of the pilot--not just in front of the plane.|||Two categories of people marshal in a plane depending on the company. It could be an aircraft maintenance technician (mechanic) or a ramp service technician (baggage loader). It is only one of the duties that you would be doing.|||Linemen, marshallers, ramp agents.|||Ground handler or lineman. Although the ones in the short shorts at Flower Aviation in Salina, KS we call real purdy.
